Help Provide Healthy Options for Kids

Tuesday, June 11 | 3:00 – 5:00 pm

The Fresh Festival for School Foodservice will change the way you think about feeding kids! Developed to connect the produce industry with leading K-12 school foodservice buyers, this event will also appeal to retail and foodservice decision makers seeking new solutions for providing healthy, fresh produce options to kids.

“Prior to the conference I didn't value pre-packaged products, but after discussions with fellow Food Service Directors and vendors during the Fresh Festival, my perspective changed to understand the way fresh-cut produce can enhance our breakfast in the classroom and after-school meal programs.”

Anneliese Tanner, Executive Director, Nutrition and Food Services, Austin Independent School District

Who Should Attend

  • K-12 School Foodservice Directors, Buyers and Menu Planners
  • Produce Foodservice Distributors
  • Foodservice Management Companies and Consultants
  • Retail Buyers looking for kid-friendly produce snacks

The Fresh Festival for School Foodservice will take place in the registration foyer, adjacent to the main trade show floor, in the McCormick Place Convention Center. Given this high-profile location, wholesaler and retailer buyers, in addition to school foodservice directors, will be able to discover kid-friendly produce snacks. The Fresh Festival for School Foodservice is a programming component of the United Fresh Start Foundation’s School Foodservice Forum, a two-day networking and education program that brings K-12 school foodservice leaders to convention to network with the produce industry, explore new produce, and connect with school nutrition colleagues to share best practices on sourcing, serving and promoting fresh produce in school foodservice programs.
